Queries Sent to Search Providers
A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is transmitted to the third-party company that operates the search tool. Norwalk Released Inmates does not store or log those query terms on its own systems. The provider’s rules and privacy terms govern its processing.
Messages You Send
If you email us or submit a contact message, we keep the information needed to read and answer it. Messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Information Collected
Routine server, analytics, and advertising systems may record technical details when a page loads. Those details can include:
- The internet protocol address used for the request.
- The browser name and version.
- The device category and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on them.
- The referring website, when one is supplied.
- The date and time of the visit.

Some advertising companies may use their own technology to recognize activity across websites and select targeted ads. That tracking occurs within their systems, not as a database maintained by Norwalk Released Inmates.

We do not sell personal information. Data may still be disclosed or processed by the following parties when necessary:
- Search partners that receive a query submitted through their tool.

- Advertising networks that deliver or measure ads.

These requests concern information held by this private site. A request about an official Norwalk police, court, or correction record must go to the government custodian under its rules, including Connecticut’s Freedom of Information Act in Chapter 14 when applicable.
